Core Curriculum
Our children are encouraged to interact with others, and develop a sense of pride in what they learn and achieve as they grow. We strive to ensure that they are able to flourish and become enthusiastic, happy, successful learners with positive attitudes.
We feel having a challenging curriculum and high expectations, develops children’s knowledge and skills whilst helping them become more confident, motivated and well-rounded children of their community and the wider world. We also nurture their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development.
We believe we achieve this by providing them with a broad, balanced, and challenging curriculum which takes account of different learning styles and individual needs. To further enhance children’s learning we visit places of interest and also provide exciting and interesting opportunities within school.
We work in partnership with parents and other professionals to build on the children’s strengths and to celebrate their achievements. Parents are regularly welcomed into school to join their children for class activities, parent conferences, assemblies and celebrations, volunteering, adult courses and to drop in to our weekly coffee mornings.
As a school we continue to reflect on our practices in order to move forward in challenging, adapting and improving our practise.
