We have been looking at mirrors to see what is on our face. Have a look at our beautiful self-portraits.

This week we have been reading a story called “Owl Babies.” We are learning all about mixing colours to make brown. We then used the brown paint to colour in a paper plate and decorated it with feathers and eyes, it’s our owls!

Our story was “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and the children enjoyed retelling the story in their own words. We have been observing the little caterpillars in our classroom and have watched them grow really big and have now made a cocoon/chrysalis and we can’t wait to see them pop out into a butterfly 🦋

We constructed algorithms to make our Dash robot move to where we wanted it to move to.

We started to learn about how coding blocks work. 

We also created algorithms on our Chromebooks to move and control virtual Bee-bots.  

If we found that our Dash robot or virtual Bee-bots did not do as we expected, we debugged our code to understand what went wrong. 🤖

The school will be closed on Monday 19th September 2022

Following the announcement from Buckingham Palace of the death of our sovereign, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the end of the State Funeral.
The school will remain open for the period of mourning, however we will be closed on the day of the State Funeral which is Monday 19th September 2022. This day will be a bank holiday and all settings that are normally closed on a bank holiday will close on this day as a mark of respect. This will include all schools and colleges.
